Volunteering

A user group is about a community coming together to share knowledge. UKOUG provides different products and services to achieve this and needs the community to get involved in order to make it successful. You can assist in sharing knowledge with the Oracle community by becoming a volunteer. A UKOUG volunteer is someone from the Oracle community who is interested in assisting UKOUG in “serving the Oracle community” by offering their time to one or more of the following:

• Becoming a Director of UKOUG
• Introducing sessions at UKOUG Conferences
• Joining a committee to shape content for our events
• Joining the Oracle Scene review panel to regularly evaluate content submissions
• Judging abstracts to help decide the agenda for the annual Conference
• Presenting at UKOUG events
• Writing an article for Oracle Scene, our quarterly publication

UKOUG are aware that the voluntary position you hold is in addition to your full time job and all the people involved in the volunteer community are offered benefits as a sign of our gratitude for your invested time. UKOUG are here to support you and, if needed, we will source additional help to ensure UKOUG continue to serve the Oracle community.
